Hello guys, I have a lot of purchases where eBay doesn't realise that I have received an item which I purchased, even when I have left seller feedback. Ok, many tracked items automatically update the status when the item is delivered, but others can go on for months or years, with eBay thinking the item was never delivered! I thought it would be useful if there was a buyer-selectable option where you could let eBay know you have received something by selecting 'Delivered' or 'Received' manually, much like the 'Dispatched' equivalent when selling. This would tidy up loose ends, rather than having items which still show up as not delivered years after they have been received. Will this suggestion be picked up by eBay people, or is there a special place for posting suggestions?

It just wouldn't work I'm afraid.
The same way leaving as feedback is completely voluntary, even if there was an option to mark as received, it could not be made to be mandatory to mark received, and items would therefore show the same status.
From August 6th things will be a little better for sellers, when tracking shows delivery to the buyer, payouts will be released in 24 hours.

This would be for my own benefit really (it wouldn't have to be mandatory), just so when I look back at my purchases I can tell whether I've received something or not. At the moment, I leave feedback as soon as I receive something, so I can also tell that I've received the item. But it would be nice to have an indication I could look at & know at a glance..

Oh I see, well yes for that reason it would be handy for you.
Like you though, I always leave feedback as soon as pos. on receiving an item, tells me too it's received, and all is well! 🤗
