Help! - No Click & Collect barcode received, even though item has been delivered to C&C location.

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can get ebay to send/resend a delivery notification including the barcode used for Click & Collect?  They usually send several reminders if it isn't collected straight away, but I haven't received a single one and therefore can't collect the package!

At the moment, all I can do is report that I haven't received the item, raise a case/dispute and wait days before ebay will "step in to help".

The seller has sent the item, it is at the collection point and the tracking says it's delivered, but I haven't received the usual email from ebay with a collection barcode and to say it's delivered and awaiting collection ...so (quite rightly), the newsagent don't want to release it!

I will try showing them the order details and the tracking details, but I think they want or need the barcode to release it.

Hi, having the same issue of receiving no barcode however I also have not received an FM/ code.  I have been into Argos and they confirmed they have my parcel (even shown it to me) and I was told they required the eCP code. When looking for this code I have only got half of the code and so am stuck with what to do next.  I have tried contacting ebay customer service however no resolution. I am extremely concerned as my parcel will only be held for a few more days.  Any advice on what to do/how to get either code would be much appreciated 🙂 tysm.

Ask the seller for the ECP code - it should be in the address shown on the order. They should have included it on the package.

You may also be able to see the ECP code on your order page and/or in your order confirmation email - but try to get the one from the seller first, in case it's different.

After you give the ECP code to Argos and they register it, you should then receive the bar FM/code by email. You cannot collect the item using only the ECP code.

This is my first time experiencing this. I ordered a £450 item to Argos. It's not click and collect, it said it was just delivered there. I haven't been given a code. Argos demands a FM code but there isn't one. What do I do now!

If it's not click and collect how was it delivered to Argos? You just entered/copied their address as the delivery address?

It turns out it was click and collect (never used it, had to check, just thought it would be more reliable) finally found out how to get ebay to contact me back. Argos stole it, it was delivered the next day but a worker in argos didn't scan it in and STOLE my camera. So DON'T order to argos, they can do what they want because the product isn't from them. Ebay is giving me a refund.

Ask Argos to arrange another barcide via email, you can asj them in person
while you wait for the email to arrive andmpivk up your goods there and
then.

hoping this happens for me. No luck yet though, still waiting for a code since Saturday (Now Tuesday). Shame this is still an issue a few years on.

It's ridiculous- Have to wonder why they're letting things slide so
badly. I have issues with nearly every order. Too often to just be bad
luck. I think my local click and collect have a large part in the
problems through poor tech skills of the cashier girls. They always act
like it's my fault, or Ebay's. None the less- things arrive way after "3
days" (more like 10 if it's a 'large envelope' package, and it's not
unusual to find the seller didn't even post the item

LOVELY to see that 3 years later they still havent sorted this problem, i have 3 parcels sat in a shop today that the shop wont release(Had them since Thursday). No codes sent so they wont release to me. Royal mail AND Dpd both show them as delivered. Last night i went again to try. the shopkeeper even got one of the parcels in front of me and still wouldnt let me leave with it. Looks like TEMU,tiktokshop or Amazon will be getting any of my money going forwards.

April 2026 still happening. I have contacted Ebay CS who has raised it. Hopefully they can reply by Friday as i cannot pickup over weekend. Royal Mail app showing as delivered with a photo. Even though signed up to Royal Mail unable to retrieve collection code.
