To be honest , I cannot remember a time where there was an option Not to leave a comment.
You selected positive / neutral / negative, then left an appropriate comment, hence, feedback.
The amount of feedback you can leave, has been increased, but an essay is not necessary , a few words will do, but end of the day, feedback is voluntary , and you do not have to leave any if you do not wish to leave any comment / feedback.
