Fake jewellery descriptions

A seller is selling jewellery that is not as described. They buy most of their jewellery from TJC and are selling cubic zirconia as moissonite and white sapphire and moissonite as diamond. I queried it with the seller and they blocked me so I cant buy any jewellery to test and prove they are not what she says they are. Ebay wont help. I have certificates of authenticity for the exact same jewellery from TJC stating what the gemstones are. I pity the buyers buying jewellery with misleading  descriptions thinking they are buying diamond, white sapphire and moissonite when they are cubic zirconia. Anyone else think this is wrong or would you be happy buying the jewellery as long as it looks like nice?

Re: Fake jewellery descriptions

You can't name and shame here, so your post may be edited. Report the Seller directly to eBay here:

eBay Customer Service

Or contact TJC and let them know, the company could then work with eBay's VeRO program directly if they wish.

Of course Sellers should be honest. It is more difficult to buy precious and semi-precious gemstones these days because of the technology for enhancing them or making fakes. Buyers who experience dishonesty are protected by eBay's Money Back Guarantee, can leave Feedback, and Report the Seller.

Re: Fake jewellery descriptions

Have reported to Ebay cant do anything because only one buyer has noticed misrepresented gemstones. Contacted TJC said because third party cant do anything about it.  Annoying when you know the jewellery is not what it says it is. The seller had a logo saying they belonged to Royal association of jewellers which I managed to have removed. Ebay say if you buy something with misleading description you can get money back but won't remove the listing.

Re: Fake jewellery descriptions

That seller (I read the post before the name was removed) is also a business seller with 230 brand new items on a private account and a 'no returns' policy which flies in the face of consumer law.

I understand your frustration when you try to report dodgy sellers and nothing is done.
