The simple answer is eBay do not care @acidhousecasual88
I posted a number of reasons why eBay don't give a stuff about whether an item is genuine or fake on another thread yesterday (https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Buying/Why-do-ebay-not-care-about-selling-fakes/m-p/7963955) and the bottom line is that they're not bothered whether an item is genuine, fake or even exists.
eBay either cannot be bothered or doesn't know how to police its own site and (don't laugh) rely on sellers and buyers being honest. Buyers are covered by the MBG if they discover that the item they have bought is fake but it's very much down to the buyer to know what they're buying and as the MBG is only good for 30 days if a buyer finds out their purchase is fake after that eBay refuses to get involved.
There are fakes listed in probably every category on the site and Pit Vipers are not the only fake sunglasses to be listed, not by a long way. I have noticed a steady increase in the number of fake sunglasses being listed - I have an interest in a specific make and model - and apart from the usual knock-off merchants in China and Japan there are a growing number based in Ukraine and Columbia.
I gave up reporting fakes a long time ago - it's just not worth it because no action is ever taken by eBay. It does irritate me when I see obvious fakes for sale and know that an unsuspecting buyer could end up paying big money for fakes without ever knowing but caveat emptor applies.
eBay won't do anything and as much as you, I or anyone else wants to help eBay clean up the site they are just not bothered as long as the money keeps rolling in.
