Ebay breaking the Law

EBAY ARE BREAKING THE LAW IN THIS COUNTRY SO BADLY, FORCING PEOPLE TO USE A MORE EXPENSIVE POST, ASKING FOR INSURENCE WHEN THEY ALREADY HAVE IT AS POLICY, ONE MORE THING, AFTER 10 MINUETES I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUTBUYING AN ITEM, IT WAS LATE EVENING, THEY SAID CONTACT THE SELLER, THEY ARE THE SELLER SITE, I HAVE A RIGHT IN THIS COUNTRY, TO CANCAL A TRANSACTION, AND AS THEY ARE THE REPRESENTATIVE, IT WITHIN THEIR REMIT TO CANCEL ON MY BEHALF, THE ITEM WAS £4.50, THE SELLER DECLINED. SO WHERE IS MY RIGHT TO CANCEL?

Ebay breaking the Law

Hello Peter,

I'm afraid ebay aren't breaking the law ; they will have gone over every legal aspect of Simple Delivery very closely to make sure they can't be sued (. and ebay can afford very expensive lawyers!)

Nor is it ebay's job to cancel or not cancel a sale; that's down to the seller.

You are correct in that you have a right to cancel, but that's from business sellers. Private sellers can do as they chose...... (Mind you, a private seller who refuses a cancellation is opening themselves up to 'return and refund' for 'item not as described' from less scrupulous buyers.....)

p.s. please turn off your caps lock. It makes posts suprisingly difficult to read...🙁

Ebay breaking the Law

Sorry but forcing people to pay £2.75 postage, when the cost in this
country is £1.55, for a Blu ray, under 100g, is against the Law, the post
office set a price not ebay, they have no legal right to charge people
their own idea of what people should pay. They changed it a few months
ago, so? What's changed? At the post office? Cap locks are to vent my anger.
