Courier messed up now l am out of pocket

Help...I do not know what to do next.

I purchased a VW seat base from eBay and they delivered the wrong one so they sent me a return label.

Fine l packed it the box it came in and put the label on, it was picked up and that was it, so l thought.

The following day it came back to me, still had the label on of the return address so l said to the courier to take it back and deliver it to the address on the label, she said she would take it back.

Now the parcel is at the depot, its not been returned, l can not get them to do anything with it because l did not place the order for the label.

The buyer has tried (not sure how hard)

I contacted PayPal and told them whats happened, they say because the seller has not recieved the item back they are awarding them the case and they keep my money.

I have no item and no money, l have no way of getting the base back to pay for a return myself.

The seller is not bothered because as far as they are concerned they have no base but its paid for.

I am at my wits end trying to work out how to get my £150.00 back.

If anyone has any ideas l would be very greatful.

OK...... this may be a silly question but : did you cover up/obliterate/ cross out the original delivery label?  (as it came back to your address....)

Did you use Ebay's return system, or deal directly with the seller?

Does the tracking show any evidence of attempted delivery?

The seller sent me a return label as he had sent the wrong item.

The tracking just shows it was refused by me because it was not addressed to me and now shows it is in the depot.

Therein lies the problem,Ebay are seeing it as a refused delivery which invalidates the MBG.

Have you spoken to Ebay CS about it ?.

Yes l have and they just say it needs to be returned. They were no help whats so ever.

PayPal has decided, because it is a case that can't be resolved, that they would give me a full refund and as far as l can see the seller also gets his money back.

PayPal can be very helpful sometimes but you just need to keep on giving information. 👍
