Contact with Evri

Late and/or missing packages from Evri ; who better can contact these people, the seller or the buyer?  I have three outstanding packages.

Personally,  I would say  3 days past the estimated date for delivery is  more than a reasonable time to wait, then to contact the seller to ask if there is a tracking and when they posted the item.   eBay's estimates can be a tad optimistic.  However after 9 or 14 days,  I most definitely would have opened cases for item not received way before those timeframes.

As said, buyers open case if within 30 days of purchase and if there's no tracking to show delivery they are guaranteed a full refund,  the buyer does need to escalate if not refunded within 3 days otherwise doing nothing,  the case close through inactivity.

It's up to the seller then to chase up compensation for themselves from their couriers.

Are you the buyer?  Then,  you open cases for item not received when a reasonable time passes the last estimated date for delivery.  As a buyer you do not contact Evri,  if you are still within 30 days of that item's last date for delivery.

It's up to the seller after refunding you,  to chase up compensation for themselves, from Evri.

So we have ETAs and now "reasonable time passes the last estimated date." What do you consider reasonable?   In my  last two Evri deliveries, one was 9 days and the other 14 days past the ETA. I don't think either of those is reasonable.  But that is no what this thread is about. In those two cases, I contacted the seller and finally received the package. Did the seller do anything (contact Evri) or was that just dumb luck?

I would give it 10  days past then contact seller, they may not be aware it hasn't been delivered. so to be polite give them a a chance to rectify you'll have up to 30 days to open a case. so give the seller time.

In answer to you seller contacting evri possibly or dumb luck some times can be both.

If i contact ROYAL MAIL i can guarantee it turns up the day after was it my call or was i just lucky?

Thank you for your reply but I think 10 days past ETA  is too long for Ebay ETAs. I often buy relative to ETAs.  I would say 3 days past ETA is sufficient to ask seller what is going on or even open a case.  I sometimes buy from China and their ETAs are long but usually arrive in time if Evri is not involved.

They used to be very reliable but their service has gone downhill and it seems to be endemic in a lot of areas.
