Was this a Click & Collect item? Then, it will be the store you selected at eBay checkout when paying.
Or, was this a collection from the seller item? Then, you have received a QR code to hand to the seller on collection.
You have paid for the item and received the code, so message the seller as now, they can give you their address to come and collect the item.
Find the item in your Purchase History, far right from More Actions >> Contact Seller.

Contact the seller and ask them how to proceed. If it was Click & Collect they may agree to cancel and refund, and relist with delivery for you to buy again.

You need to ask the seller to cancel and issue a refund.

Can't one of the mentors assist this old lady better than this?

She has to contact the seller surely.

Mentors are not ebay staff, they are ordinary users and have no access to members' accounts. We cannot intervene, we can only advise. The only way to help this lady is for her to contact her seller.

would you even be able to lift a bottle of gas?
why didnt you buy your gas where you normally get it from?
probably the last thing i would buy on ebay a bottle of gas

I am not a fool - I know that you are not staff! Surely a mentor should mentor?
This lady is obviously a newcomer to ebay and could do with a bit more hand holding and assistance. She is brave at 90 attempting to purchase here for the first time. Step by step guidance would be of more help in this instance rather than just say contact the seller etc.

Does this work?:
-click this ebay link https://www.ebay.co.uk/mye/myebay/purchase
-next to the item click "order details"; the delivery address should be shown there (or possibly details of where to collect and some instructions)
If the delivery address is your address, click "contact seller",
-write a message asking them where the item has been delivered to, and ask them to explain why it hasn't been delivered to your home address (they may have done nothing wrong)
The above is based on a using a web browser - I don't use the app - it'll be similar process if you find the same buttons.

Hello @shiharr11
If it was ebay item number 296580480382 - "CALOR GAS 13KG PROPANE EXCHANGE PRICE £49.99" - that you bought, from a seller in Hampshire, then the full address and telephone number can be found at the bottom of the sellers listing... it is collection only I'm afraid.
If you wish to cancel or change the order, or ask any other questions about your order, you can have a Customer Service agent call you free of charge - ask them any MORNING to get the best help - do this by clicking on the following SAFE eBay link which has a big blue button saying "Have us call you" - it will look just like the screen shot at the bottom.
