Buyer beware! Delivered = Not Delivered

Second time I've been scammed like this

Just ordered some bulk coffee pods £40+ (currently £60 on Amazon), received with only 2 days date on. Returned these. Got a refund a week later. Fine. I guess?

Found a different seller, confirmed good date, ordered and paid. 3-5 days delivery
No tracking?
Waited waited waited
Raised "item not received" after a week
Magically received an email "Your package is now with Royal Mail."
Checked the tracking number "Delivered Saturday" (2 days after my order) "In your secret place" (I didn't agree any secret place). We were in all day last Saturday and I have surveillance. I will check with neighbours but I already know they would have told me
To obtain proof of delivery RM require the correct postcode
Tried my postcode the maximum 3 times. Each time it was rejected as not matching the tracking number

I suspect that the seller has just added a random tracking number for "an item" that was delivered "somewhere"

I intend to call eBay but I already know their policy is with the seller if the item is marked Delivered. (Second time this has happened to me)

Any ideas??

You need to get RM to provide written evidence that the postcode snd address related to that tracking number are not yours.

To do that you give them your details and ask them to confirm the tracking doesn't match.  They can't give you the address on the tracking.

Then you use that evidence in your claim and probable appeal.

It's better to call eBay than open an INR case because in the system it shows 'delivered'. When a similar 'delivery' happened to me I phoned eBay to say the delivery did not match my Postcode. eBay refunded me.

The post office woman noticed the tracking is for a parcel delivered to Northern Ireland which is no where near my home in Leicester so it's clearly fake

Tried to contact C Service but I just get a chat bot??? I have opened a case but bot says I have to wait until 10 Sept before they can step in

Any other ways of just calling Customer Service

That was great. I got a call in 5 minutes. Agent has acknowledged the tracking is not correct, has given buyer 3 days to resolve (who btw is still emailing me insisting they have delivered) and then agent calling me back if there's no resolution
