I'm trying to contact eBay to complain regarding the following issue.
I get charged £8.95 eBay to authenticate my shoe/trainer/sneaker purchases, this covers if they are legit and that I receive what's advertised. I received my item today, a very well used pair, nothing like the pictures, on top of that it was a different shoe size, the seller admitted he'd made a mistake and sent out the wrong item, but the item was authenticated by eBay and passed. I know this is an employee, be it third party or working directly for eBay but they need to be dealt with but trying to get a message to them is impossible.

The charge was for postage, not for authentication.
If the shoes are 'not as described' you don't need to message the seller. Open a return case and the seller will provide a label.
Once they get the shoes back, via the authentication centre, you will get a full refund, including the postage you originally paid.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes I’ve done all that and my mistake about the costs but you don’t think there’s an issue that the trainers were authenticated? They were not the same trainers and were the wrong size?
I think that’s pretty bad on eBay’s part, I’ve lost all faith in your Authenticator system and that particular Authenticator should be spoken to.
