I bought a pair of shoes from eBay, and this was authenticated by eBay. Upon receipt, I took it for a 10km run and noticed tightness in the left shoe, which developed blisters. After checking, I realised that the size tag was cut off and it was a different size. Contacted the seller, their difference was that eBay authenticated the shoes. Contacted eBay, they told me they can't do anything as the show was used.
Buyer beware! Don't trust eBay authentication.

Have you actually opened a case for item not as described?
If not, try that.

Are you in the US? Just your account is stating US and if any account that isnt based in the UK purchases from a UK seller even if they are both in UK it may not go through authentication. Also if the tag was cut off it should fail authentication as there is no way to see what the size of the shoe is.

Yes I did, thank you.
So at what point, and how, did ebay say they can't do anything as the shoe was used?
