I’ve been a loyal eBay customer for 12 years, and this recent experience has completely destroyed my trust in the platform.
I reported an “item not received” case on 22 November. The tracking says delivered, but I never received anything. The seller was completely unhelpful and kept repeating the same robotic scripted answer.
I contacted eBay multiple times, and every single agent gave me different information, different dates, and excuses that made absolutely no sense. At one point I was even told “weekends don’t count,” which is ridiculous.
Every conversation was inconsistent. One said eBay would step in on the 25th. Another said “tomorrow.” Then on the 25th I was suddenly told to wait until the 27th. A manager even tried to claim they “can’t validate delivery” while using tracking as an excuse to deny help contradicting themselves in the same sentence.
This experience has been draining, stressful, and completely unacceptable. eBay advertises a “Money Back Guarantee,” but when you actually need it, they refuse to help and push you in circles.
After 12 years, I never expected to be treated like this. I’m deeply disappointed and seriously reconsidering ever using eBay again.im waiting for my last delivery from a different seller, but after that they can save their damn excuses I’m done! 12 years of loyalty down the drain, pathetic
eBay truly has became the worst, and on top of that no one has ever responded to me as they have claimed to, your money back guarantee is bull*bleep*.

If the tracking says delivered the seller will always win the case. Contact your bank now, to do a chargeback.

What do the details within tracking say?
- is the photo of your address?
- is the postcode/GPS yours?
- is the signature yours (if any)
And most importantly, was it delivered to a secure location?
If any of these are wrong, you might try requesting another callback from eBay CS because this is a lot quicker than initiating a chargeback. In a few words, give them the tracking evidence that shows it wasn't delivered securely to you. When it happened to me, they refunded straight away.

I have tried everything I even told them the door they have as a proof delivery is someone else house. And they clearly aren’t listening. The seller end up dragging a well of their excuses, eBay keeps lying about someone will contact me they will file complaint which is a big lie, and I clearly lost the money and the item. No one is answering at all. I’m done with eBay they can save their excuses and lies, so much for trusting money back guarantee all they feed is bull*bleep*

The money back guarantee gives excellent protection for buyers in most cases, with the exception of this particular circumstance.

Clearly it’s a lies, as they ignored me for whole week even after proving that it isn’t my house. Money back guarantee doesn’t work, they closed the account without even answering to any of my emails and complaints

The problem is the delivery was tracked so in ebays mind you did receive something.
Perhaps "not as described" might have been a better approach as nothing is not something ?
Send back an empty package if asked to.

I have tried, and told them many times it’s wasn’t delivered at my place because the door isn’t even mine. But no one is responding anymore, I sent amount of emails, contacted them, I even requested a call, and no one is calling back. They just clearly ignoring me. Honestly I’m tired of eBay, and their lies. I’m done.

Try your bank. You may be able to initiate a chargeback.
