Hi,
i bought a fake item (funko pop) and want to return it but the seller hasn't sent a postage label. I'm not protected by ebay money back gaurantee because of a violation that I crossed which i don't have clue on or who reported me (maybe the dodgy seller) I have to wait a 90 days for an appeal, if I win then ebay will step in.
no sure what to do. I have a few options
1. wait after 90 days and appeal I win ebay can step in and help
2. pray and send it back paying for postage and hope I'll get majority of the refund
3. listed it and sell for half the price of what i loss
4. end it with a total loss and give the seller a negative feedback
stephen
If ebay will not let you return for a refund then open a paypal case instead. You will have to pay the return postage though. Opening a paypal case will close the ebay one automatically.
It does not seem right the 90days wait.
What were you reported for?
Did you get that information from ebay?.
Did you open a not as described dispute?.
Seller 3 (main thread above) same situation to seller 2, but this time during live chat. which it didn't know at the time they told me I'm longer protected by ebay money back guarantee I can appeal after 90 days, the seller hasn't provide me a label to return it. which puts me at a disadvantage If i sent it back with my own money., Most likely Seller 3 Will ignore me and without no protection from ebay.
Kinda annoying but lesson learnt
It is hard to say why things have gone so wrong and the 90 days wait does not seem right.
If you have a problem then you open a dispute and for the fake items that would be a not as described dispute
You open the dispute and the seller sends a pre paid label for the return
If they dont then you escalate the dispute in the resolution centre and ebay step in.
If they are supposed to refund today and have not done so tomorrow and you have a case opened then you escalate the dispute and ebay should step in
Did you open the correct dispute as if you opened a returns request then you pay the return postage.
All the disputes should be done through the resolution centre and not by phoning ebay.
