Hi i was looking at an item which is advertised at £47.89 but when i click on it goes up to £57.48 i have noticed a lot of items like this surely this is misleading as i nearly clicked buy it now all so there items that are asking £500 shipping
Seller is non UK, so you have to pay 20% VAT on top of price.
Sellers can charge what they want for P&P, ebay don't get involved, if it is too high, find a better seller.
It all depends on where the seller is or where the item comes from. Ebay has to collect VAT on items from overseas or where the seller is overseas.
This was agreed some years ago and was introduced from January 1st. It s not related to BREXIT.
If the item was from outside the UK, then there is a warning on the listing that taxes may apply.
