is there any way to get ebay to resend collection in person qr code - i never received an email

I'm supposed to have an email with a qr code to allow me to pick up an item i bought but I never received a qr code message. There appears to be no way to access this via the purchased items page, and the message does not appear in the 'messages' either. Is there any way to get ebay to resend collection in person qr code ?

You need to conact eBay CS for this.

In the Help & Contact tab above type into bar there ...  Click & Collect code required,  follow prompts to find the Live Chat option,  as phone lines are currently down.

Lines open today between 9 a.m. and 6 pm

The time I believe has been extended to collect an item ,you have 10 days from being told it is in store to come and collect

Thanks for the response - it’s not actually a click and collect order that I made but a purchase from an individual offering ‘collection in person’. I believe that eBay recently added a qr code system that requires you to present the code at time of pickup so that the seller can prove that the collection has taken place. Great idea in principle but not so great if you don’t receive/can’t access the code. A simple resend facility would be all that is needed - but no, instead another call clogging up the CS system unnecessarily.

never heard of it, and I don't see how it could possibly be made compulsory,

I don't have a phone so couldn't produce a code to be shown


you just arrange a time and go and collect the item and pay in cash, job done.

For proof of collection, you can use the eBay app to scan the QR code or manually enter the 6 digit code the buyer received after completing their purchase.

To scan the code, go to the Arrange Pickup screen on the eBay app and tap the Scan to confirm pickup button. The item will immediately be marked as delivered. You’ll still need to mark the item as paid if you collect cash at the time of delivery.

If the buyer doesn’t have their email with the codes, a signed receipt/invoice or an eBay message from the buyer confirming they collected the item can protect you against item not received cases.

I did get sent a qr code for a ‘collection in person item’ I bought in May so the system has been live, although it’s possible that they’ve withdrawn it again. I’ve just seen some other stuff online that suggests that eBay rolled this out a couple of months ago but had various issues, so it’s possible that it’s no longer operational - although the help page stuff above suggests it is still being used. eBay help pages and system operation not matching up.....? Surely not. Anyway, good news is I collected my item today, seller didn’t ask for a code, so all good. Just be nice if eBay got all their ducks in a row to save everyone wasting their time. Thanks to everyone who replied.

I wouldnt be waiting on ebays flakey technology as long as your seller is happy for you to collect.

Have you checked your personal email program and any spam/junk mail traps.

The page linked mentions the ever failing App.

There are contact options at the very bottom of the page.

Click & Collect items cannot be collected without the collection code. The OP must contact Ebay to get it,
