I expect thousands if not millions of people have received such calls, but they won't see your post here.  The Ebay Answer Centre is for those you have questions about their Ebay accounts that require urgent answers, not for the millions who receive weird phone calls from voices claiming to be from the inland revenue or any other organisation. Just do a general web search for the phone number to get your answer. And do an urgent web search for 'staying safe online' so that you recognise obvious scam attempts in future. 🙂

Nothing to do with ebay.

These scammers use random phone numbers, just ignore it.

If the Inland Revenue really did want to speak to you for any reason, be it with regards to fraud or any other matter, then they would contact you by post.  They never contact you by telephone so if you do get any further calls like this just put the phone down on them.
