filter out collection in person / Upvote existing software development ideas on the Community

Hi, Please can we filter out Collection in Person listings? With the Covid-19 situation we shouldn't really be travelling and I just want to find items that can be posted to me or my family.

Also is there a way to 'Upvote' suggestions for development on the Community if you agree with them?  This can help gauge ebay customer software development need and flag any 'pain points' experienced by users both buying and selling.  A facility to add comments to the existing post when Upvoting would also be useful to support the use case.

I understand fully, this is a problem with Ebay and I suspect they keep it this way to give sellers views... even if nobody is near enough to collect it!

Don't think there is any way to filter out collection items, many listings offer postage or collection. It is up to you to make your own decisions. As to your other subject, quite honestly I don't understand what you are suggesting. Also, this forum is to answer questions to help members with problems, if you wish to start a discussion you should use the discussion boards.

Thanks for your reply 1902elder. It is a pity eBay doesn't have this filter as it would be really useful in the current situation where we shouldn't be making unnecessary journeys. I'm aware I can make my own decisions and to that end as a buyer it would be a great function to filter out 'Collection in Person' listings so I don't have to trudge through endless listings that I don't want to have to travel to the opposite end of the country to collect.

In both parts of my query, I am trying to find out how we can propose software development improvements to eBay to make buyers and sellers experience of using the platform better. In other large software user communities anything in the software application that causes users issues can be 'upvoted' by it's registered members so that the developers can see what is popular (and what is a poor user experience). Is there anywhere within eBay where suggestions for development can be proposed and eBay developers actually take heed? Thanks for your help

Ebay does not have any facility for suggestions. Being an Ebay member only gives you the facility to buy or sell on the platform, nothing else. There is no voting, it is not some form of club.

Thanks for your reply. That's a pity. I thought it was a 'community' to share ideas and improvements as with other large software platforms, and that community usually includes developers of the software. I'd be interested to find out how eBay creates it's software development roadmap (Hey eBay! - please share if you're listening? 🙂 )
