faulty item, seller closed case on me

Hi.

Purchased a 3d printer motherboard new. Went faulty after a couple of months, requested a return through eBay. seller closed case on me straight away. He got in touch and eventually offered a replacement but have been trying to sort this out with him from over a month. Says he has sent it and for me to chase it with post but is unable to supply details. He is a Chinese seller but item was sent from UK.

Since he closed the case on me I don't seem to be able to get a way through eBay to help.

Any ideas

If you opened a case after a couple of months ,  it would close automatcially,  as you only have 30 day's after the item's last estimated date for delivery to open that  case with eBay.

Neither eBay nor Paypal offer product warranties,  that items will be fit for purpose months down the line,  only that they are as described on receipt,  if not,  there are 30 days to claim for a full refund.

No he closed the case immediately.
Have put a claim in with paypal, see what happens.

That is correct ,you may be able to open a case with eBay months later , but the system will close the case immediately and automatically, as you only have 30 days from last estimated date for delivery to open that case for a refund.

You do have longer with Paypal, they have a 180 day policy, I see you have opened a case with them, then do not forget to escalate after 2 days and before 20 , it's you last chance for a refund. @teleblasterman
