cancelling a order

I bought a game of a seller on here, he cancelled my order and issued a refund. The reason he told me is he is closed for 10 days because of covid. I have been on his page and he is still selling and he as increased the price of the item by over £10. I thought he was a trusted seller, I have purchased 2 games off him previously with no problems. Is this kind of lying allowed.

No Ebay take a dim view of Sellers who Cancel a Sale without the Buyers Request. He will be charged the Ebay Final Value Fees and will have given himself a Damaging Defect.l

It is not good ebaying but you can not force them to sell and neither can ebay.

If he cancelled without your agreement then he may be paying the fees and a defect depending on what he chose as a cancellation reasono.

You have feedback to leave but be careful what you say.

Buy off someone else

Thanks for the reply. He has put down that the customer cancelled which is
not true. I have bought the same game now off Amazon cheaper than his new
price. This has far as I am concerned is not allowed in the rules because
he has lied.

I reported this to e Bay they have nor replied. Anyway it asked for follow
up so I put negative feedback and added cancelled by seller.
