bid retraction

I reattracted a bid because the description of the phone was that it was broken  and a cancellation was recorded but after one or two hours, i found myself a winner of that, so contacted the seller to cancel the order which he did not agree and he as opened a case against me. what can i do to defend myself as it was the system error?

as you are in Zambia you have no automatic right of cancellation.

It is hard to see what happened as you already haven 16 bid retractions on your account

That is not the way to use ebay

You read the description properly and only if you are sure then you bid/buy

If you won the item then it is obvious your retraction did not work

The seller is well within their rights to refuse the cancellation request if they have NO returns on their listiings.

If you dont pay then you get a non payment strike on your account you may find yourself blocked from buying off many sellers

When you retract bids you wreck the sellers listings and could cost them money 

Your choice you pay or take the strike
