Where can I find a record of the 'comments' text box when I made a counter-offer?

I recently bought an item that was pictured with a nice presentation box but the box wasn't included and the seller was clear about this. After watching the item the seller sent me a 'special' offer, I counter-offered and said I would pay the asking price if they included the presenation box. The seller accepted my counter offer.

The item has arrived today without the presentation box. I now want to prove I added the comment in my counter offer but I cannot find the text anywhere. Where can I find this?

When you make a offer to a seller that offer is the price you would like the seller to accept to purchase the goods and services advertised within the listing.

So if the listing stated including presentation box the seller cannot remove it from the sale.

Also contrary to other responses if for example the postage is shown as free then a seller cannot introduce a postage charge because they have accepted your offer price.

If the Item was pictured inside the Box, you can open a Returns Case for Item Not As Described. Escalate the Case for Ebay to Step in on day 9 - 21. Forget what the Seller said. He shouldn't have added the Box in the Picture if it wasn't included.

It is irrelevent, offers cannot be conditional, just as they do not cover postage.
