What should I do first, if it looks like my item has already been opened?
Opened? Damaged by delivery? Or a new item received and packaging not intact?
Contact the seller, don't be fobbed off with excuses, you will need to open a case for item not as described regardless of the excuse they may give.
Escalate on day 4 if not refunded beforehand.
If the seller wants the item back first, the case enforces them to pay for that fully tracked return postage.
The main thing is what is the condition of the contents. Is it what you expected, parts missing or has it been damaged.
You only need to open a case if damaged or otherwise not as described.
If still in acceptable condition I would suggest advising the seller, and keeping your options open should there be a problem not immediately obvious.
