What is all this ebay gobbledygook on address labels?

What on earth is all this rubbish which is now appearing on address labels? More to the point, why is it in the middle of the address?

A relatively new seller asked me to confirm my address because he could not make sense of the one ebay had provided - with all this drivel in the middle, of course. Small wonder he was baffled!

It's surprising there are not more problems with the Royal Mail's scanners - if ebay must put this junk in the address, why not put it at the end, not in the middle? Smiley Frustrated

Just do what I do and ignore it. Why should everyone know that you are buying from ebay.

If you post items the normal way at a post office by paying for postage over the counter or using actual postage stamps then you just ignore the gobbledygook and don't need to include it in the address when sending a package.
