The "win" price does not match the basket price

Hi All,

I won an auction last night, but the price I won at (165 + 8 post and packing) is not the basket price (198 + 9.60 post and packing).

I don't see anything else in the basket. And can still see the individual item "won" price if I go into the item itself.

Has anyone seen this - or got a suggestion how I overcome this with the seller?

I just wanted to circle back after the help provided...

As @tobiasd4 first suggested: It *is* a tax 'thing', both prices increased by 20% (the price and the post and packing). When i knew where to look I could see that in the basket.

It (ebay) appears to be confused though as the seller is UK based and the location it's coming from is UK based.

[ don't want to call out the seller here as I don't think they've deliberately done anything wrong, but I wonder if they have their setup messed up or whether eBay have it messed up ].

I've suggested via email to the seller that I pay them the full amount inc. the tax and then they refund me the difference via paypal or something else (e.g. bank transfer). I'm willing to risk it for £30 and hope that the world is full of honest people.

Did you buy from non UK seller, the extra is 20% VAT.

Ebay seem to have mucked up the arrangements.

They have a Location of UK - the only thing that is perhaps a 'thing' is that they are a business seller? (not sure that really makes a difference that should translate to the buyer price?)
