Search results are rubbish

Just lately when serching for items for my car the results come up as usual, when i click on a link to a product and then enter my car details i get the message " This item does not fit ***** "

This happens even if i include my car make and model in the initial search.

At first i thought it may be " one of those things " so i did random searches for items i did not need but still stating my car in the search box.

EVERY result that comes up states the item will not fit my car ! EVEN if the advert says it will !

What the bleep is going on ?

How are people expected to be able to find and buy items if all the results state they will not fit ?

Sellers must be missing out on a lot of sales because of this.

Come on eBay, get your act together and sort this out or, like many of my friends, i will be forced to go to Amazon for my needs.

This issue began just before christmas last year, i'm only just mentioning it as i thought, rather naively it seems, that eBay would have sorted it out before now.

ebay is a trusted online service and you can find the right item in the right pile. Also, if no seller is available, you can let the coustermer care know what you need.

The first post i wrote clearly says that the parts that come up for my car do not fit according to the listings.
So i disagree that you can find the right item i am looking for when clearly i can find nothing that fits my car. And i do mean nothing !
Every listing i click on states the item will NOT fit my car.Even searching by part number has the same result.
As for "customer service" , all you get is a number to call them, i cannot emil them with screenshots which is what i want to do.

You are in Sri Lanka and these are the UK boards – where do you get your information, for example a buyer cannot let 'customer care' know their needs.

If you want to sell on eBay UK you must – register for VAT, register as a business seller, display your full contact details and cannot dropship from China.

However your rating of under 96% will cause you problems.

1 I am NOT in Sri Lanka - where do you get this information from ?
2 I do NOT want to sell on eBay UK or any other eBay platform.
3 The ONLY links i get for customer service is a phone number, nothing else.
4 What is a rating of under 96%, what does that mean ?
5 I am NOT selling and my buyer rating is and always has been 100%
Can people not get thier facts straight before posting a reply ?

That reply wasn't made to you. It seems you're not familiar with the way forums work, so raise your eyes to see the (very strange) post @plpmr replied to. It's the one that sticks out further to the left than the replies nested below it. If @plpmr was talking to you, they would have @ you into the conversation as I've just done below. 🙂
