I recently paid for a Buy it Now item, and a couple of days later I got an email ebay saying that there was a problem with the seller and that they had removed the listing. When the item hadn't arrived a couple of days later and I asked for a refund which was done.
A week later the item was actually delivered.
How can I pay the money back to the seller? They have no more items listed and do not reply to messages, and it is impossible to contact ebay.
I don't know what the ptoblem with the seller was, it looks like it was their first listing and maybe unfamiliar with the process, but eBay told me that there was a problem and I acted accordingly, but it seems unfair not to pay the seller when I have received what I originally paid for.
Send them a PayPal payment (from PayPal).
Or, if you have their address, you could send them a cheque or a crossed Postal Order.
In future, bear in mind that Ebay removing a seller from the site doesn't mean the item won't arrive. It just means that the seller broke the rules in some way; for example, selling items which aren't allowed to be sold here, or copyright or trademark infringement, or simply for not paying their Ebay bill. When this happens, I advise buyers to wait at least a week beyond Ebay's estimated delivery date before opening an INR case, and even longer during a pandemic, especially when coupled with the Christmas rush.
Hi, I don't know the answer, but this part "and it is impossible to contact ebay."
I have spoken to eBay help via telephone recently, so maybe try that.
Good luck.
