Received message saying "transaction incomplete".
However, on the selling page, the "Buy Now" button is still showing, so I've not bought anything - how do I cancel this?
If you haven't bought anything then there is nothing you can cancel.
However I find your question very confusing, what selling page are you referring to?
Please explain exactly what and where you are seeing "transaction incomplete". What if anything is on your purchases page.
Have you perhaps clicked on a Buy it now which requires instant payment? That would not complete until you paid.
