I BOUGHT AN ITEM ON EBAY YESTERDAY AND CANCELLED RIGHT AWAY AS MY DAUGHTER GOT ME SOME, THE ITEM HAD BEEN POSTED BUT THE SELLER SAYS I CAN SENT THEM BACK. BUT IM IN ISOLOLTIONS BECAUSE IVE GOT DIABETES. SO I WONT BE ABLE TO SEND THEM BACK. ALSO THEY ARE COMING FROM CHINA WHICH I DIDNT KNOW TILL GOT EMAIL ABOUT THE PURCHASE, I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH CHINA. ANY IDEAS AS I CANT GO OUT ON DOCTORS ORDERS PLEASE.
If it's a business seller they are supposed to accept "change of mind" cancellations. You could refuse delivery so it's returned to the seller, and then open a "not received" case to get your money back.
When you shop online, anywhere, there is always the risk that you will need to return the goods for some reason. You have 30 days from receipt in which to open a return request on Ebay, and another long timeframe (I forget exactly what it is, but you can find the information in the Help pages) in which to return it once the return request is open. So you may well be out of isolation by then.
It's impossible not to have anything to do with China. The vast majority of goods sold in the UK are made in China, including, no doubt, the device you're using to surf and shop on the internet. If you're worried that goods made in China will be smothered in the virus, don't be - if this was a problem, Chinese imports would have banned, and UK stores' shelves cleared of stock.
First of all, next time you post, please turn your caps lock off as this is classed as shouting and nobody on here deserves to be shouted at...
sorry to hear you are with many others in isolation, but it seems you have a lovely and caring daughter who have bought what you require, so I am sure, that when the item arrives she won't mind helping you with your return postage....
