Is it possible to pay without paypal now?

How can I tell from a listing if I can do that (using ebay payments, I think it's called?)?

I've not used ebay for years because paypal was the only option.

You can by card, paypal process it.

So no need to actually have a paypal account.

I have a paypal account, that's the problem: I want to pay without any paypal involvement.

At the moment, unless you use paypal (even paying with card) you are not covered by MBG.

If it is collection item, then best to inspect item & pay in cash if happy,
so no paypal.

Sellers can't refuse paypal, but for both seller & buyer, cash on collection is best.
