HI, If I buy a horse trailer and pay for it with cash on collection, am I covered incase the trailer is faulty? Should I take someone with me to check it over before I bid or should I take someone with me to check it over when I collect it and before I hand over the cash? Thanks, hope someone can help me asap
Vehicles (and all collection items) should only ever be paid for in cash (or by bank transfer), but ONLY once you've fully examined the vehicle and carried out all necessary checks. There is no buyer protection on vehicles, regardless of how you pay. This applies everywhere, not just here. The law states 'caveat emptor' (buyer be aware).
