I purchased a RC Buggy for my sons birthday and the item is faulty. I have requested a return via ebay and the seller has closed the return without offering a solution. This now means I can't escalate it or contact ebay for their asssitance in getting a refund. I've tried all the avenues I can find. I would be very grateful for any advice please.
As @**peaseblossom** and @tressygirl advise ... and take a look at the PayPal 'Shipping on us' and case options >
If it's the item you have left the neg for,it was purchased 23/03 and it's likely you were out of time for an eBay case.
I see you have opened a case with Paypal, hopefully this will be successful but the seller has replied to your feedback as "We have resent the products to our customers."
Sounds like you either opened the wrong return case, or forgot to escalate? If you do not escalate between 9 - 21 days, the case times out and closes, you cannot open another case with eBay.
For a faulty item, you need to open a case for item not as described, if you opened a regular return, and the seller does not accept returns they can close the case. They cannot for a case for item not as described, they are forced to refund, and pay for a fully tracked return postage if they want their item back.
You can open a case with Paypal, but there you do have to pay for that fully tracked return postage, and they do take much longer to refund , investigating the case in more detail.
You must have use a "change of mind" return instead of a "not as described" one, otherwise the seller would not have been able to close it.
You can try a case with Paypal. Log into your Paypal account and click on Contact Us (at bottom of page) > Resolution Centre (at bottom of next page) > Report a Problem.
Or if you used your credit card, with or without Paypal, ring your card provider and see if they can help.
