That is an option, seller just refunds. It saves the expense of paying for tracked postage so that you can return and seller then puts in the bin.
You haven't been asked to return so don't need to, although before throwing away it might be worth asking the seller if they want it back. Don't offer to pay and send it though, that is for the seller if they want it back.
