How long to wait for a seller to post an item?

I have recently brought a few items from the same seller.
They've stated they don't combine postage but are happy to issue a partial refund once everything has been posted - I found this acceptable as sometimes it's not known how much postage will cost with multiple items.
I'd grown a little concerned as it's not been stated that the items have been sent and when going to message the seller about the items see on their profile that they are unable to send the items until the 27th of August. 52 days.

Okay, if they'd told me, that's irritating, but I am not in any desperate need. But, I find it unfair that they're still submitting new listings and haven't been in contact with me about it.

I've not messaged them about it yet, because I am not sure if I have a leg to stand on in regards to ebay policy with postage and the time it takes to send out items.

I'd love to hear your opinions on this as both buyers and sellers.

Many thanks
Jenn

The dispatch time and estimated delivery date are clearly shown on every listing. Are you saying that you missed this information...? Or are you saying that the seller has told you since you paid that he can't ship as per the listing and order details, ie. he can't ship as contracted....?   Your post isn't clear.

Whatever, you have only 30 days from the delivery estimate on the order in which to open an Item Not Received case. Read the 30-day Money Back Guarantee for yourself - it's on every listing and in various other places across the site. You don't have to contact Ebay at all as the entire system is automated - it can't be tweaked to fit in with new dates supplied by the seller post-order.

Do not allow yourself to be run out of time if/when you open a case. And do not close it on a promise - escalate it to Ebay after 8 full days (8 x 24 hours). Unless the seller has tracking proving delivery, you'll then be fully refunded.

That is crazy, the date you go by is EBAY'S expected Deivery Date shown when you buy. As soon as past that date then you open a Not Received Case.

No seller in their right mind takes a full payment and refunds part as they pay the WHOLE paypal Fee with no refund. To me it was just an excuse to get more money out of you and hoping they can avoid refunding.
