A seller can block who they like and yes probably 100% of sellers would block a member who left them bad feedback.
However, if you have been in a recent transaction with them, you will still be able to message them if you have queries on the product you bought from them, if blocked, you just will not be able to buy from them, though surely you would not wish to either?
adding to the advice already given -
So you left feedback saying the item blew up?
In that case the seller also got your feedback removed.
As has already been mentioned, a seller can block anybody he/she wants to block if that buyer has caused problems for him/her at some point. However, in order to get a clearer understanding of the matter, try looking at the situation from the seller's perspective for a moment:
Imagine that you've recently sold an item on eBay. The buyer receives the item but isn't happy with it and decides to leave you some negative feedback. This can then be seen on your feedback history by all other potential buyers unless you can convince eBay to remove the buyer's negative feedback. In addition to that, the negative feedback will also have resulted in your selling account being hit with an account-damaging defect. Too many defects on your selling account can get you banned from selling on eBay forever.
If the seller contacts eBay Customer Services and asks them to remove the negative feedback then if he/she puts forward a convincing argument to justify the removal of the bad feedback then eBay will go ahead and remove it, along with the associated defect resulting from the bad feedback. However, if eBay refuse to remove the buyer's negative feedback then the seller is stuck with it forever, along with the associated defect.
Now that you've seen how the process works, imagine that you've been left negative feedback in relation to an item you sold and eBay refused to remove the buyer's feedback. You've now got a negative feedback that will remain on your feedback history forever, as well as an account-damaging defect. Would you choose to allow the buyer who had left you that negative feedback to buy from you again, or would you take action to prevent him/her from buying anything else from you in the future? If you had been in this situation yourself then I suspect that you would more than likely have chosen to block the buyer who had left you bad feedback and damaged your account with a defect.
Having read this explanation and considered the points outlined above, regardless of your own opinion as to whether or not you felt that the seller was right to add your User ID to his/her Blocked Bidders List, do you now understand the situation from the seller's perspective and the reasoning behind his/her decision to prevent you from being able to buy anything from him/her again?
