Has anybody else had this problem? I ordered an item for click and collect

Has anybody help had this problem?  I ordered an item for click and collect.  I was puzzled because it is marked as delivered, I contacted the seller because I have not received notification from ebay that it was ready to collect.  The seller sent me a copy of the postage label and it has indeed been delivered to the click and collect location.  I printed off the label and a copy of my order, and drove to the shop.  I also took id.  The person behind the counter showed me the parcel, with my name on.  He would not hand it over to me because ebay have not sent me the collection (FM) code.  I have told the seller and opened a case, and asked the seller to request ebay to send me the collection code.  What more can I do?  It seems impossible to contact ebay

The shop cannot hand over the parcel without the code - you will have to contact Ebay to get it. Ebay are unable to accept phone calls at present (Covid19 staffing issues) but Live Chat and request-a-call are both available in Help & Contact (links at top and foot of any page).

 

Check that Ebay have your latest email address and/or phone number - I can't think why else you would not have received the code.
