Feedback

I am showing as having received 293 feedbacks but only 285 are showing on my profile. Does this mean that I have received 8 negative feedback reports? If so then why have I not seen the negative reports?

It's probably because on a few occasions you have bought more than one item from the same seller. When that happens, only one positive feedback is counted for the transaction, even though several feedbacks were left.

All your feedbacks are positive. As you're not a seller, you can't have anything else. Sellers are prevented by eBay from leaving anything except positive feedback for buyers. Even for buyers who don't pay, or who lie, cheat or abuse them. Which rather diminishes the value of feedback.

If you buy more than one item from the same seller in one transaction then even if the seller left you positive feedback against every single item that you bought, your feedback score would only go up by one point.  In addition to that, if you've ever sold anything on eBay before and have sold more than one item to the same buyer in one go then the same rule would apply as outlined above with regards to feedback left.  If, however, you bought more than one item from a seller - or a buyer bought more than one item from you and left you feedback for each item - then so long as there was at least a seven day gap in between each purchase from the same seller - or each sale to the same buyer - then each feedback would register on your feedback score.   That's why there's a discrepancy between the amount of feedback received and the feedback score showing on your profile.
