Hey there, pretty much what is in the title.
The auction ran to the end and I won it for the starting bid (Even though I had put in a higher one, as discussed with the seller beforehand). A week goes by where he doesn't reply to any of my messages. Offererd to pay the difference in shipping as it would be a bit more costly than what he had set up in the auction.
Almost two weeks go by and the same item shows up again for sale, on the same account. Only when confronted why that was and why wasn't he replying is that I get a message, saying he's been away and he has another one (Doubtful, since it's a collectible).
Then a few days ago I'm facing with an order cancellation being pendent on the item, tried to contact eBay through either message or live chat and got matched with a bot that obviously didn't help at all.
My question is, is there something I can do in this situation? Somewhere I could expose my case (within ebay)?
Because if anyone can just cancell any order without a valid reason when they don't like the price they got, then this is a free for all. If the buyer is responsible to pay if they bid and win an item, as eBay says when we're bidding, then the sellers have to be held to the same standards.
Thanks for reading.
What reason has he given for the Cancellation? If it is "Buyer Requested Cancellation" contact EBay from Help and Contact at the top of the Page and type in "Advanced Search" that should bring up a Phone Link for EBay to Call you back or Live Chat should also be available. Tell EBay you didn't Ask to Cancel. Lines open at 8.00 am.
If you have Paid use the Ebay Money Back Guarantee and Open a Case for Item Not Received one day after the last Estimated Delivery Date. If he doesn't Refund you Escalate the Case after 8 days for Ebay to Step In they will Force the Refund.
