Can I retract feedback when seller refuses to give me feedback

I get fed-up having to politely request people take time to give feedback. Quite a few sellers seem to enjoy pointing out their own feedback score, even when not 100% but then neglect to return the gesture for buyers, even when politely asked to do so. I find this frustrating, particularly when I have paid immediately and provided good feedback for the seller which is useful in some cases to confirm delivery. Is it therefore possible to retract feedback given, "tit for tat" as it were ?

I think there should be more prominent mention of feedback and encouragement from ebay to provide it on both sides of transactions.

You are going to get little or no support for this argument here

As pointed out feeback is voluntary

When you leave feedback for a seller you are not doing it for the sellers benefit or to polish his ego, you are leaving it to help other buyers know the seller is honest & reliable

As a seller, no feedback is as good as positive feedback as it does not affect the feedback percentages

Most sellers would prefer to see buyer feedback abolished  as it can only ever be positiver to be replaced witha more useful ratings scheme including things like paymernts sent within 48 hours, non payments cases opened against, cases opened & won etc.......these could assist sellers knowing who they are safe dealing with
