Bought a pressure cooker a week ago, it is faulty can I return it?

I bought a quality Instant Pot pressure cooker that was advertised as only been used 4 times and 3 months old. I have had it less than a week and it shut down during a cooking mode and there is no power at all now- it appears to be faulty.

i have contacted the seller who seems surprised that’s its faulty and said it was fully working when they had it. They advised me to contact the manufacturer who I have no response so far.

whar are my options here, I appear to have wasted £80!

You have not wasted £80. Manufacturer will not be interested, you are not the first buyer and any guarantee will not pass to you.

Open a case for item not as described, if seller does not refund within 8 days you will be able to escalate the case to Ebay.

The seller will have to supply a prepaid return label for you to send it back.
