eBay Providing Inaccurate Estimated Delivery Times To Buyers

Hi,

Is anyone else seeing a large number of buyer messages about "late" parcels?

I have see a noticeable increase in a last 2 weeks which I believe is due to eBay providing inaccurate delivery estimates to buyers. I checked my listings this morning (Friday) and eBay is providing an estimated delivery on Monday or Tuesday next week.

I have next business day dispatch set up on my account and ship with Yodel which is 2-3 business days, so the Monday/Tuesday delivery date is very misleading.

Is anyone else suffering with this? I feel bad for the buyers and also starting to get tired of having to provide customer service for something which is an error on eBay's part.

I have also had 2 returns due to the item not arriving in time which has cost money.

Surely eBay can add logic in their system that a seller will ship next day (on Friday this will be on Monday) and then it will be 2-3 days from there.

I can't even buy things on Amazon on Friday and get it by Monday anymore!

eBay Providing Inaccurate Estimated Delivery Times To Buyers

Multiple threads on this subject. Basically Ebay response is that the system is working as designed. Someone suggested its to do with Ebay official time being located in San Jose or somewhere - whether thats right who knows.

From memory EDD has been to seen to promise Same day now & then! I've had was 3 days to a village in the back of beyond in Malaysia.

Don't think anyone came up with a solution just got to put up with it.
