I used to sell on ebay it was my full time thing then me and my partner split up and I had to move.
I'm in the process of setting up a small business making personalised one off items think ornaments and signs resin items and when I'm reading posts everyone seems to heart broken and unloved by ebay. I sell on vinted and it is so much easier it got me thinking is it even worth uploading items onto ebay ?
What's your thoughts ?

Personally I would choose eBay over Vinted any day. But since you control the amount of handmade stock you have, why not try both platforms and see what suits you?

If you are selling handmade and bespoke items then Etsy may be worth a try.
In fact why not consider listing on all 3 platforms to give yourself the best chance of making regular sales.

Members posting on this forum generally have issues for peeps to sort, or come to vent their frustration over this that and the other! Rarely will you find a post coming here to praise anything on eBay as this is not the forum's primary function! So all ' bad news' here definitely does not make eBay a bad place to sell.
Try it , I'm sure you'll be able to sell your items, and remember if making items to sell you will have to register your account as a Business Account.
This also means you avoid the recent introduction of Simple Delivery, the main forum posts are members posting their dissatisfaction for this, as it only applies to Private sellers, those selling their unwanted items such as a garage / attic / wardrobe clear out.
Good luck and Happy Selling ! 🤗

Maybe going off piste here. But if you make hand made items, why not have your own classes.
Where I have my public open days, there are also throughout the year many people holding
classes, varying from painting, pottery, wood work and yes ornaments.
Most classes get loads of people, including families.
Just a thought. BTW its a council owned venue. So they welcome any extra ways of revenue.
When I am not there, they also have a cabinet with my products for sale they sell on
my behalf minus commission.
Sometimes you need to think outside the box.
Only thing, just like me dealing face to face with customers you will need liability insurance.
Some venues will not bother asking, while others like where I trade insist.

This is what I was planning to do - but being honest I was reading the forums and everyone seemed really unhappy and I was checking I wasn't just wasting listing fees : ) I appreciate your advice.
I know everyone is a bit shook with the whole American tariffs but the heavy feeling felt more than that. It's maybe just my imagination

Thanks - very good point
I think I am registered as a business seller but I'll double check.
There used to be really active sellers forums is that not a thing now ?

You are a registered business seller.
worth noting though that your business details themselves are in your old Ltd name, you might want to get that changed.
