The Price I Set Does Not Match What Is Shown On The Items Page

Afternoon All.

I switched my account over to a business account from a private account a few hours ago and I have noticed most of my items still don't match the price I have set for them as if they still have the new private seller fees addon on. For example, I have an item listed for £5.49 but when I click on the listing it shows a purchase price of £6.43, the same as it did on my private account before switching.

I also have a notification that says I can be a top rated seller but i need a business account which I now do.  Does it just take some time for everything to update?

IME things like these need a few hours to update. I guess you mean another account because I see zero listings.

It can take up to 72hours for it to filter through the system, Not a clue why it takes so long with modern computing power. But that is what ebay will tell you.

Thanks for the reply. No it's this account but I currently have it set to "time away" until things show as they should.

Thanks for the info. I figured as much and eBays statement of "changes will take immediate effect" was probably a little ambitious!

You sold this item yesterday "Pit Bike Front And Rear Brake Pads Set"

It shows you as a business and it sold for £14.23

So is this the correct price that you should be selling for as a business?

If so, then though it can take time for changes to go through, it may just be what you are seeing, rather than customers currently.  And in other words, be perfectly fine.

The problem is, that nobody can actually check as your listings aren't active.  🙂

£12.99 is the price but as from yesterday I started getting the forced private seller fee's being put on top so decided to switch to a business account today.

I originally set it to "time away" to give the listings time to update however I have now also discovered my home address is plastered over every listing under "seller business information"  so until I find away to change that it will remain on "time away". Mad how a home address can be shown.

It's a legal requirement to show your trading address when listing on a business account

Accepting "change of mind" returns is also required by law

Is there somewhere specific you set "change of mind" as a return reason? Returns are already accepted up to 14 days but I am unable to find anywhere I can set for which reasons returns can be sent.

The 14 day returns ARE change of mind returns eg "ordered item, decided its not what I want/don't like quality, return to seller"

For items that buyers state are damaged or otherwise not as described, returns are still 30 days

As has already been said, your address has to be displayed by law.

You cannot change this and you cannot go back to being a private account.

But honestly, hardly anyone even knows it is there most of the time.

I presume that you have already notified your insurers of the fact that you are using your home for business?

If not, then you do so ASAP.  Or if ever there is a claim, it will be denied.

Don't want to teach grandma to suck eggs, but have you got accounts sorted out?

PL insurance? Registered with HMRC?
