Send offers duration

When I send offers and choose duration of 7 days it only enables them for 4 days.

Does the GTC renewal cancel the offers? (offers were sent on some items renewing in 3 to 5 days).

It's not directly related, but it could be rounding to the nearest day.

Where arre you seeing the option to choose the duration? When I send offers, they're automatically 4 days with nowhere for me to change that.

Likewise, and I didn't like to answer beforehand in case this was another change eBay have made that has slipped me by!

It wasn't that long ago that offers were valid for 2 days and now a max 4  , @jlovie  can you tell us where you see this option to extend to 7 please.

It's the 'Send automated offer' bit that I was looking at that has the duration options.

I'm not even sure how automated offers work.

I've read the blurb but I'm still not clear how it would work in practice.

e.g. does a new viewer only get the offer if they add it to watchlist, or is it just anyone who views it while the offer is active?

The main offer lasts 4 day, what happens between 4 and 7 days, presumably the automated bit remains active after the main offer expires.
