Couple of questions
1. What is the latest link for reporting sellers, and have you had success with the link?
2. I think I recall forum posts where reporters have said they have received a reply from CS advising that the seller was not breaking policy rules, is this the same link? Thoughts? The periods Ive reported, I never had a reply
Thanks

The link works - but you never get a response as to whether anything has been done.
That link allows you to report a seller you have (recently) purchased from. I might stand to be corrected but I think @fatbobfan wants to report a seller for violating eBay policy outside of a transaction.

It certainly doesn't make that clear on the page if it is true - and you can report a seller there irregardless of whether you have transacted with them - they just ask you to put the name of the seller in.

Apologies; my mistake. The last option - "The seller has violated one of eBay's policies" - doesn't require a transaction. It looks like that page was updated fairly recently; probably when the report link disappeared from listings.

I’ve reported sellers many times for duplicate listings etc but nothing gets done. EBay is shot now

Don't waste your time. Nothing will be done.

Thanks for the posts,
It is sellers I have not purchased from and as a rule, yes, it felt a bit like wasting my time, maybe it was the HMRC thing but a few disappeared.
Some real annoying sellers abusing the system so will give it another go,

Marco gave a link in this week’s community chat (post 40) if it helps.
I was reporting loads of blatant rule breakers, but as others have said, nothing ever gets done.
As far as I can see, all those we reported are still illegally trading and flooding the categories with multiple new items on private accounts.
One seller keeps listing items as brand new & boxed but when you read the description it states “only used a couple of times!”.
Response to my report was along the lines of: “thank you for submitting a report but we could not find anything wrong. The listing does not contravene any of eBay’s seller policies. Your report was checked by a customer advisor”.
…..well they need a bit more training then!
Worse, I got blocked from reporting for while for “over use of the report seller function” with a warning “continued over reporting could lead to restrictions on your account”!
So that should give some idea of how little eBay care about illegal traders and that they do not want you to submit reports.
Others have mentioned this in the weekly chats but always get the same, scripted BS response.
