Same with me. View counts are high but no one is buying. Just had the worst week I have had in 3 years. Dire right now.

To be fair, it's a week after pay day and the weather has been good.
So not doubt lots of people taking advantage of it.

May has historically been a good month for me - not this year.
13-05-2025 11:09 PM
Was wondering exactly the same
More views same dead sales

Sales in general are rock bottom on ebay, 7 days sales are what i normally make in 1-2 days Unless ebay do something drastic I cannot see it being here much longer people are just going to drop ebay and concentrate their time/money on other platforms.

Totally shocking,I have had two no sale days in the last three days which I have never experienced

I'm seeing weird Performance & Traffic results, I don't accept that its a case of loads more views but no one wants to buy. I know eBay has totally annoyed many members with recent updates however I don't think they are the sole reason for such an abrupt crash in sales. My sales have dropped off a cliff and very abruptly at that, pumped massive offers and slashed prices have made no difference. Wasted money on more priority promoted listings etc, been on eBay for over 20 years, no stranger to the system and how its played. Long term eBay sellers will get what I mean here.
I'm a firm believer that views and sales are throttled at will by eBay, also known as the eBay proverbial switch as known by others. I think this is to try and satisfy sellers as an whole, maybe to provide everyone a piece of the pie to all although at this point seems someone ate the whole thing.
I think the latest performance information is BOGUS, it's either bugged or being manipulated beyond eBay, like bots etc, something is wrong and I think this seemingly out of whack impressions and views combined with 60%+ sales reduction is showing something is not right somewhere and these fake impressions and views could be compromising how the Cassini algorithm works.

I never believed in the ebay throttling thing however after selling on here for over 20 years I believe this is now the case as ebay is so overloaded with competition how else will sellers all get a piece of the pie as you say? I believe Amazon do the same as well.
14-05-2025 12:54 PM
That would make sense, as the algorithm will see loads of views on your item but no sales so will be less inclined to show your item in search results as it appears to have no interest with all the views.

Last week I listed a number of items. I viewed them on my iPad to make sure all ok. But one was missing, nowhere to be seen.
i then went onto my laptop, there it was. Went back to my iPad to recheck and it still wasn’t on there.
So is it a case that if you view items on different smart devices, you dont get to see all that is for sale…
As far as I was aware I thought I was using the full classic site on my iPad but obviously not….
14-05-2025 2:09 PM
I would say that would make complete sense due to the complete lack of sales. There is something amiss for sure.

Sales are slightly up on this time last year but I have 2x the range so on balance things aren't very good. I'm seeing smaller basket sizes too which suggests financial pressures are at least partially to blame. Don't get me started on the ebay side of it!
I'll cover my fixed expenses this month just about, and eBay keep emailing me offering finance- hohoho.

I used to pay a close eye to impressions and conversion but I don't really bother with it now as it pays little relation to the money coming in.

Its so obvious now. No orders all day until about 4 o clock yesterday afternoon. It was like someone flicked a switch. A pile of orders came through virtually altogether within minutes. That simply cannot be right. Then after 5 o clock dead all night. Then this morning orders coming back through. I most definitely believe ebay are throttling sellers shops. There is no other explanation. After selling on here for over 20 years you see peaks and troughs but this is never right IMO.
Then we have new competitors who add new listings which go straight to the top of search. They have no feedback for the items whatsoever but get to go straight above reputable sellers listings such as ourselves. Unreal.

Same here, it's like someone in the last week of April flipped a switch and it's been dead since.
I think too many people are annoyed at ebay right now and it will take time for those folk to spend on this platform again.
Ebay are definitely throttling business sellers who don't promote their listings. A 80% sales drop in the space of a month is definitely not normal. Ironically I was considering upgrading to the £77 per month shop to get 1500 free listings, now i'm thinking of closing my shop as soon as my website and Etsy store are live.

The busiest part of my account at the moment is messages from ebay.
15-05-2025 12:52 PM
Also seeing a tank in sales. About 75% down over the past 2 weeks.
