Monthly Subscription Value

Hi

If I open a basic shop for £27.00 per-month?  What is the £105.00 monthly subscription value?  Please can someone explain this.  I don't want to pay both amounts each month.

Thank you.

You don't pay both, one is the charge and the other is some sort of comparison.

It says this at the bottom of the table:

* Values relative to the subscription tier below, when you use all of your allowance. Anchor Shop values based on average listings.

To be honest as an explanation it is somewhat lacking in clarity.

Monthly Subscription Value

With a Basic Ebay shop you get 350 free listings a month (250 BIN +100 Auction). If you were to list these 350 items without a shop you would be charged 30p per listing ( 350 x 30p = £105).  Using Ebays logic you would therefore pay £27pm for your shop but save £105pm. What they don't tell you, of course, is that if you list less than 90 items a month you are better off without a shop. Hope this helps.

In Ebay world therefore with a basic shop you would pay £27 for your shop but save £105. What they fail to point out clearly is that if you list less than 350 a month the "monthly subscription value" is less or that if you list less than 90 items a month you're better off without a shop. Hope this helps

If you go over the basic amount of the 250 listings you get charged 12p per item.  As in dropped from the next tier up as basically can’t afford ebay anymore.

What they also don't tell you is you also get up to 200 seperate free listings on ebay US / ebay.com.

So if you want to sell directly to America you can list another 200 items here free with your ebay shop. These are not counted towards your other 350 listings. You can also get more free listings in other ebay europe sites. Notably ebay.ie and ebay.de.

So if you were to sell on all these sites the combined free shop listings would be well over 1000.
