So, recently ordered 1000 Jiffy bags from a new supplier. They were terrible quality compared to the ones I have, so I kicked off and in the end sent them back and went back to my previous supplier (who I had purchased the quality bags from). They were rubbish as well.
I have dug a little deeper and looks like Jiffy have been taken over/merged with a company called Abriso. Unfortunately this has resulted in a STEEP reduction in quality.
Does anyone have good alternatives for jiffy style Large Letter packaging? I am more interested in the protection they afford than the cost of the product.

What exactly do you mean by jiffy bags? That is just the brand name and they make loads of different kinds.
If you mean padded envelopes and the like, then I would strongly recommend that you take a look at Kite Packaging. Never had a duff order from them and I've used them for quite a while now.

Well...yes I know it's a brand name but it's so well known it has almost become the product. 'Jiffy bag', is part of the packaging dictionary really. In the past they have been the known quality brand, it looks like that has gone now. Thank you for the suggestion, I will check out Kite, they are decently padded?

I can only answer that by saying that everything that I've had from them has been of a good quality.
I have had small padded envelopes in the past from them and they have been perfectly good. So I would imagine that the larger ones are too.

I use Kite's bubble bags. I put the items in the bag, seal it, then put it in a poly envelope. If I've more items than will fit in one bag, I just put several bags in a poly envelope.
My items are 2.5 cm high so, with the bag, they're a parcel. I don't know whether a slender item in a bag would exceed the LL height. If you want me to check, I can find a cable, put it in a bag and shove it though the template.

That's great, i meant the small 00 size Which is approximately A5.
@the-nutwood-collection no need. They are designed for LL as far as i know. That's 2 for kite...
