Can you please check if there is another problem with impressions? Another counting glitch? These stats can not be correct. Organic impressions promoted views down to under 3000 views today at time of writing. This time last week almost 73000 views. Please help. dave@ebay kat@ebay

Impressions now highest since slump and still only 4:45pm. Definitely a lot better. Remains to be seen if totally cured.

Mine slumped on the 18th and still way down, obviously sales have been killed too. Some sort of update would be great though, seems like the least we as customers deserve to be told every day or two that they are still working on it, this is whats caused it and this is what we are doing about it. If my performance was as bad as eBays im sure I'd not be given over a week to just say I'm working on it.

A summary of the past week.
Sales have been good despite promoted impressions being very low.
In the last 24 hours promoted impressions have started to shoot up to levels last seen prior to July 18th however organic impressions are below average, the same problem that started this thread.
Despite promoted impressions heading towards more than double the recent daily totals in less than 24 hours there has been no increase in sales as I would expect to see.
Conclusion, reporting of impressions not to be trusted.

I was thinking the same. I do t care what impressions are saying now, I'll know it's fixed when sales start heading in the direction of around average for this time year

Or, possibly, the promoted listings placement causing the increase in impressions is a naff location leading to low or no conversion.
Some have seen impressions drop, sales stay the same (myself included) but others have seen both drop...
Maybe it is product dependant and location of the promoted listing dependant which affects conversion, its a bit of a minefield really but it would make sense for Ebay to lower the number of promoted listings it shows on an item page to increase the speed at which the page loads to improve conversion of the sale on that product someone clicked on.
(Not defending Ebay here, it would be nice to hear an update about what has been toyed with!)

Impressions down 22.11%, Sales down 40% in the last 31 days. Last Sunday 23rd I saw a little increase but Sunday is generally my best day, then plummet back down again... it's going hand in hand every week is flat with a decrease in impressions and sales. Down down down. I'm guessing next week my impressions will be down on average another 50k and sales down another £50 a day... both will be at zero with this pattern in two weeks.
Again horrified nothing has been done to address this.

Seeing quite a few sellers reporting promoted impressions shooting up in the last 24 hours (myself included) I don't think it means very much tbh, but you haven't experienced this rise yourself ?

The couple of items I've just put up seem to have more rows of "sponsored" ads than ever. Eleven rows with up to twelve ads in each row.
It's too much. I just scroll by, they don't even register. Maybe ad numbers have past any sensible saturation point.
When this first started, and was just a couple of rows, I would look. Now it's like a full blown messed up search plastered over the page.

Well I've deleted most of my listings now. I still have 125 listings to use this month, by Monday as I'd already deleted hundreds. So I may just sell similar a bunch now so they're on for another months but cancel my subscription.
I think once they're live, you then o ly pay per listing when it renews. Hopefully in a months time things will be fixed and I can afford to have a shop again. But if not, I've spent the last few weeks working on my website and published it now so we shall see ....

Good luck with your website. I have bitten the bullet and gone back to a featured shop for a month. I am ending all my items, selling similar and reducing my prices. I am having a few sales a day, but need to list more expensive items as the profit on cards is tiny.

@swiss_expert_uk interesting, we're seeing sellers in the US community report the same thing and coincidentally, I just checked today and that apparent test that had removed most of the Promoted Listings ads also seems to have ended....I'm back to seeing the full previous amount of ads on all pages in all browsers now.
Make of that what you will because so far we have still not gotten any answers or acknowledgement from eBay, but I'd say the timing of the drop and now at least partial recovery for many sellers compared to the timing of that apparent test to the View Item page paints a pretty compelling picture.

Definitely seems to have been a big change again

Same... but its shot up, far exceeding pre 18th July, so very interesting. I wonder if we are now part of a different test to compare? Organics were not effected all throughout and infact improved (also my page views saw the same pattern) Hopefully sales contine to reflect as Friday was a great day for me and yesterday not too bad.

Mines the same, Hopefully this test is over.

Close of play yesterday I saw an increase, a jump of 100k but I had the same the previous weekend too so I personally do not think I'm out of the woods by any means.
You know this is what gripes me, if some 'test' was being done why did an eBay rep not say so on these boards some weeks ago? It would have saved a lot of work (pointless hoop jumping) and a lot of stress.

Its pay day weekend.

But how does payday weekend effect impressions? Yes sales but as you can see on my graph like eveyone elses 18th july slump then 2 days ago a steep (higher than pre 18th levels) upturn.
30-07-2023 10:16 AM
It's still not right, sales are coming through in fits and starts. Friday was a good day but now I'm seeing sales come through in 3-4 in 10 minutes and then nothing for 1-1½ hours...............this promoted listings is a joke.

I used to get paid on the 21st, I think most people in education do.
