A serious question everyone. To date, I am loyal to eBay and am not selling on V....... Many of my competitors are. Some are registered as pro sellers, some are not, including one seller, forced to register as a business, and who was subsequently banned because of her dubious selling practices.
However I'm looking at my declining sales, which would reflect across the board to anyone in the clothing, shoes and accessories categories. Weekends would see eight to 10 sales, with the odd one or two in the week. Now, nothing.
Given Sunday afternoons, at one time you couldn't get on to the eBay site. Now, there's no problem. Just try and log in to Vinted, and all you get is the blue ring trying to upload.
Says it all.
I think eBay is destined for oblivion, and I truly believe the end is nigh.
I haven't been that fastidious as to catalogue my images. Or indeed my descriptions. Is there any way I can save my listings for easy upload on to V............ .
Maybe I should start doing it now, and risk the wrath of eBay for an out of stock item (should I be so lucky as to actually sell something on the other site?)

Applications exist that will transfer from ebay to Vinted
obviously, ebay don’t want that being promoted on their own forums, so you will have to do a search of the web.
as far as whether you can get onto the site, I wouldn’t take that as a sign of popularity. If a site is designed to allow 10 people on, and 11 visit, it’s going to slow down.

EBay sales in general have declined in all categories. It’s just what’s happened to eBay unfortunately. We now sell 40% less on eBay than we did 4 years ago. Far more competition selling for next to nothing, economy and people leaving the eBay platform have contributed to this downfall. So therefore I need to ask why aren’t you already selling on other platforms ? You simply can’t have all your eggs in one basket with eBay. It’s bad business sense. You need other platforms to support the times when one platform maybe slower with producing sales.

Just for balance my sales are up 8% y-o-y YTD. My profits are up 1% y-o-y YTD.
Anyone in preloved clothing has my sympathy. It's been a nightmare and the difference between my profits and sales growth speaks volumes as to ebay's hunger for fees. So I feel for you Brindsey. But I don't like to see assumptions paraded as facts because it can dishearten sellers still trying very hard to make a living.

HI, and thank you all for the helpful advice.
Found one link that says
" it also syncs product inventory in real time between your linked marketplaces, so that you never have to worry about selling the same item twice."
Will give it a go.
Thank you again.

To mirror that, this year has been a significant improvement on last year my end also. E-bay isn't going anywhere.
